Corso Italia is the main artery of Sorrento running east to west through the town center. It is filled with shops selling local products from leather goods and hand-embroidered fabrics to olive oil and limoncello. Bakeries, gelaterias, and restaurants line both sides. In the evening it transforms into a lively promenade for the traditional Italian passeggiata where locals and tourists stroll together in a festive atmosphere.
