The Citadella has dominated Gozo's skyline for millennia, a UNESCO-listed fortification with history stretching back to the Bronze Age. The well-preserved walls offer stunning panoramic views across all of Gozo and to Malta on clear days. Within the walls, visitors can explore the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, the old prison, the archaeology museum, and remains of historic houses. The narrow alleys also house craft shops and small cafes.
