Church of Mary Magdalene
The Church of Mary Magdalene is a stunning Russian Orthodox church featuring seven distinctive golden onion domes visible from across the city. Built in 1888 in traditional Russian architectural style, it was commissioned by Tsar Alexander III in honor of his mother Empress Maria Alexandrovna. The church houses the relics of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, a martyr. Surrounded by beautiful olive and cypress gardens, it offers spectacular views of the Old City.
