Church of All Nations
The Church of All Nations, also known as the Basilica of the Agony, was built in 1924 over the rock where Jesus is believed to have prayed on the night of his arrest. It received its name because 12 countries contributed to its construction. Notable features include the golden mosaic ceiling and imposing facade. The interior is kept intentionally dark to create a contemplative atmosphere. The sacred bedrock is surrounded by a wrought-iron crown of thorns fence.
