Chochołów Village
Chocholow is a unique historical village 15 km west of Zakopane, known as a 'living open-air museum'. It features over 60 traditional wooden houses from the 19th century, remarkably preserved thanks to a centuries-old tradition where residents wash the wooden walls with water and soap twice a year before Easter and Corpus Christi. The village offers an authentic glimpse into traditional Podhale highland life. It also houses the Museum of the 1846 Chocholow Uprising, a branch of the Tatra Museum. Nearby Chocholowskie Termy thermal baths make it easy to combine a cultural visit with relaxation
