Chinese Garden
The Chinese Garden was gifted to Zurich in 1993 by its Chinese partner town Kunming and is dedicated to the 'Three Friends of Winter' — pine, bamboo, and plum blossom. Sitting along Lake Zurich, it is considered one of the best Chinese gardens outside China. Admire ornate gates, square and hexagonal pavilions with exotic angles, an island with its pavilion embellished with pretty bridges, a water palace and terrace. The garden offers a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Best times to visit are spring and autumn when vibrant blossoms and golden leaves are on display. There's an enclosed playground for children with a splash pad in summer.
