UNESCO World Heritage ancient Greek colony founded in 422 BC. Extensive ruins include theater, basilica, and defensive walls. Site where Prince Vladimir was baptized in 988, bringing Christianity to Rus. St. Vladimir's Cathedral marks the baptismal site.
Buses: 22, 107, 109 from Sevastopol center to Chersonesus stop (about 20 minutes). Trolleybus: 10 to Dmitriy Ulyanov Street stop, then 10 minutes walk. By taxi from center about 10-15 minutes. By car: via Drevnyaya Street to main entrance. Paid parking available. The reserve is large - an audio guide at the entrance is recommended.
