Chegem Waterfalls are a group of picturesque waterfalls flowing directly from vertical rock walls in a dramatically narrow gorge. The water springs from the rock itself at dozens of points, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. In winter the waterfalls partially freeze into stunning ice formations. The gorge is surrounded by steep cliffs reaching 300 meters high.

The drive takes about 1.5 hours (55 km). Organized tours are also available from Nalchik and nearby resort towns in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region.
