Château de Cheverny
Cheverny is the only Loire castle still owned and inhabited by the same family for 600 years. Its exterior inspired the Marlinspike Hall in Tintin comics. It features perfectly preserved 17th-century interiors, formal French gardens, and a permanent Tintin exhibition. Daily feeding of the famous hunting hounds takes place. The castle offers a unique glimpse into aristocratic French life that has continued unbroken for centuries.
