Château de Chenonceau
Chenonceau, known as the 'Ladies Castle', was shaped by influential women throughout its history. It spans the River Cher with an elegant gallery bridge designed by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici. The second most visited castle in France after Versailles, it features stunning gardens, beautifully furnished interiors, and a valuable art collection. During both World Wars, it served as a hospital and an escape route between occupied and free France.
