The star-shaped 16th-century fortress was built after the Anglo-Dutch attack of 1596. Today it serves as a cultural center hosting rotating art exhibitions and a permanent exhibition about the 1947 explosion. It contains a tiny 1683 chapel and offers beautiful views over La Caleta beach.
