The Chapel of Sao Frutuoso de Montelios is one of the oldest Christian buildings on the Iberian Peninsula, dating to the 7th century. This Visigothic mausoleum is a rare example of pre-Romanesque architecture built by Saint Fructuosus of Braga. The Greek cross plan with Byzantine influences makes it unique. A national monument since 1910.
