Canadian War Museum
The Canadian War Museum is one of the world's largest military history museums, telling the stories of Canada's armed conflicts from ancient times to the present day. The building itself is deeply symbolic, with a design representing renewal and hope, and its undulating green roof mimics a recovering battlefield. It houses over 500,000 artifacts including military vehicles, aircraft, and equipment. The LeBreton Gallery features an impressive collection of armored vehicles. The Memorial Hall contains the headstone of the Unknown Soldier, and at 11:00am on November 11th, sunlight falls directly on the headstone through a precisely angled window.
