Canadian Museum of History
The Canadian Museum of History is Canada's most visited museum, situated on the Ottawa River shore directly across from Parliament Hill. Designed by Indigenous architect Douglas Cardinal, the building houses a collection of over four million artifacts. The Grand Hall features the world's largest indoor collection of totem poles, while the Canada Hall traces the nation's story from the Ice Age to present day. The museum also includes the interactive Canadian Children's Museum and an IMAX theatre. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece with curved lines inspired by glacial landscapes, symbolizing the emergence of the North American continent.
