Cades Cove
Cades Cove is a mountain-enclosed valley in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, receiving approximately 5 million visitors annually, making it the park's most popular destination. It is famous for wildlife viewing, especially black bears, white-tailed deer, and wild turkeys. The 11-mile loop road winds past 19th-century historic buildings including churches, homes, and mills. From May through September, the road is closed to vehicles on Wednesdays for pedestrians and cyclists.
