Bridge of Sighs
Oxford's Bridge of Sighs, officially known as Hertford Bridge, is a Venetian-style covered bridge connecting two buildings of Hertford College. Built in 1914 and named after the famous Bridge of Sighs in Venice, its design actually more closely resembles the Rialto Bridge. It can be viewed for free from New College Lane and is one of Oxford's most photographed spots. The bridge is not open to the public but can occasionally be accessed on Hertford College tours.
