Boulders Beach
Boulders Beach is home to a unique colony of African penguins, making it the only place in the world where you can get close to these endangered birds in their natural habitat. The beach hosts 2000-3000 penguins living among giant granite boulders. Wooden boardwalks allow close viewing without disturbing the penguins. The colony was established in 1982 starting with just 2 breeding pairs.
