Botanic Gardens is a beautiful Victorian park founded in 1828 in the heart of the university quarter. It houses the Palm House, a cast-iron and glass greenhouse from 1839 that is one of the oldest examples of this architecture in the world. It contains rare and diverse tropical plants. The park also includes the Rose Garden and the walled Ravine Garden. Located next to the Ulster Museum, making it an ideal day destination.
