Bo-Kaap
Bo-Kaap is a historic, colorful neighborhood on the slopes of Signal Hill, known for its rainbow-hued houses and rich Islamic heritage. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, it has been home to freed slaves and immigrants from Southeast Asia since the 18th century. The neighborhood houses South Africa's oldest mosque (Auwal Mosque) and the Bo-Kaap Museum. The vibrant streets are among the most photographed locations in Cape Town.
