Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten)
The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) is Chiang Rai's youngest and most photogenic temple, created by a student of the White Temple master. The deep blue color symbolizes Buddha's wisdom, and golden ornaments represent the sunlight of enlightenment.
The main attraction is a huge white Buddha statue in meditation against blue walls with exquisite murals. The ceiling is decorated with a starry sky. An atmosphere of calm and contemplation reigns inside.
