Black Church
The Black Church is the largest Gothic church in Romania and one of the most significant landmarks in Transylvania. Built between 1383 and 1477, it got its name after the fire of 1689 that blackened its walls. It houses the largest collection of Anatolian rugs in Europe, a magnificent altar, and a massive 4,000-pipe organ. An architectural masterpiece witnessing the history of the Saxon German community in the region.
