Big Buddha Phuket

Big Buddha Phuket is a 45-meter white marble statue atop Nakkerd Hill, visible from most island beaches. This is not just a religious shrine but a viewpoint with panoramic island views.

The statue was built in 2004 and clad in Burmese marble. A temple complex with small shrines and bells surrounds it. Visitors can make donations and write wishes on marble tiles.

Dress code is strict: covered shoulders and knees required (wraps available at entrance). Best time to visit is morning or sunset. Entry is free, but donations are welcome.
