Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp
Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp is a modern camp located in the mountainous southern region of Kruger National Park, near Malelane Gate. Its name means 'mountain and valley' in Afrikaans, reflecting the hilly terrain of the area. The camp features Kruger's only fenced walking trail (the Rhino Trail) where visitors can safely walk with a chance to spot white rhinos. The surrounding environment is rich in indigenous flora and differs from the typical plains. Modern facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, shop, fuel station, and laundromat. The camp is known for excellent leopard sightings in the area. It's one of the newer camps, built in 1984, with contemporary design that blends into the natural landscape.
