Batman Alley
Batman Alley (Beco do Batman) is an open-air art gallery in the heart of the bohemian Vila Madalena neighborhood. The alley got its name in the 1980s when art students found a Batman graffiti on one of the walls. Since then, the walls have been completely covered with colorful artwork from local and international graffiti artists, making it one of the first open-air museums dedicated to street art in Latin America. The art constantly changes as new artists add their work. The surrounding neighborhood is full of trendy bars, cafes, and boutiques.
