Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato
The Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato is the city's main cathedral, built between 1671 and 1696. It houses a jewel-bedecked wooden statue of the Virgin said to date from the 7th century, making it the oldest piece of Christian art in Mexico.
