Huentitán Canyon
Barranca de Huentitán is a stunning 600-meter deep canyon carved by the Río Grande de Santiago, often called a 'mini Grand Canyon'. Declared a nature reserve in 1997, it hosts diverse tropical vegetation. The main hiking trail descends 4.5 km to the canyon floor, where visitors can see the historic 1893 Arcediano bridge. An ideal escape from city noise, located just 13 km from downtown.
