The Bardo National Museum is one of the most important museums in the Mediterranean and houses the world's largest collection of Roman mosaics. Located in a 19th-century Ottoman palace, it showcases archaeological treasures from Carthage, Rome, and Islamic civilization. The museum was expanded in 2012, adding 9,000 square meters of exhibits.
