Banteay Samré
Banteay Samré is a 12th-century Hindu temple named after the Samré people, a tribe that lived in the Phnom Kulen area. The temple is remarkably well-preserved thanks to extensive anastylosis restoration that returned it to its original glory. The architecture resembles Angkor Wat with concentric towers and galleries. Located off the main circuit, it remains peaceful and less crowded. The carvings and reliefs depict scenes from Hindu mythology, particularly the legends of Vishnu.
