Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is during the dry season from December to May when weather is ideal for beach activities. February to mid-May (Philippine summer) offers the best conditions. The rainy season runs from June to October with occasional typhoons. For skydiving, the best months are November to January. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends.

How to Get There

From Cebu City North Bus Terminal, take a bus or van to Hagnaya Port (4-5 hours, approximately ₱200). From Hagnaya Port, board a RoRo ferry or OceanJet fast ferry to Santa Fe Port on Bantayan Island (1-1.5 hours, ₱280). From Santa Fe Port, rent a scooter (₱300/day recommended) or take a tricycle (₱30-100) to your destination.

What to Expect

Expect stunning white sand beaches with crystal-clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming and relaxation. The island has a laid-back, less commercialized vibe compared to other Philippine beach destinations. Activities include island hopping to Virgin Island (with cliff jumping), beach hopping, snorkeling, kayaking at Obo-ob Mangrove Park, visiting historical churches, and even skydiving (₱20,500). Rent a scooter to explore the island at your own pace. Fresh seafood is abundant and affordable.
