Bâlea Lake
Bâlea Lake is a stunning glacial lake at 2,034 m altitude in the heart of the Făgăraș Mountains on the Transfăgărășan Road. Surrounded by towering peaks, it offers spectacular views and serves as a starting point for hiking. In winter (November-June), it's accessible only by cable car from Bâlea Waterfall and is famous for its unique ice hotel built annually.
