Bahnhofstrasse
Bahnhofstrasse is one of the world's most famous and expensive shopping streets, stretching 1.4 kilometers from the main railway station to Lake Zurich. Lined with luxury boutiques from global brands like Rolex, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton, alongside prestigious Swiss banks and legendary confectioneries like Sprüngli. The street's history dates to 1864 when the medieval moat was filled in. Today it is car-free, accessible only to trams and pedestrians, making it perfect for strolling and admiring 19th-century architecture. During Advent, the street transforms into a sea of lights with the famous 'Lucy' Christmas illumination featuring 11,000 LED crystals spanning the entire length.
