Bacvice Beach
Bacvice Beach is Split's most famous beach and the birthplace of the unique traditional game picigin. Stretching 270 meters of fine sand with shallow, calm waters, it is ideal for families and children. The beach holds Blue Flag status for its cleanliness and excellent facilities. Picigin, which originated here in the early 20th century, is a unique ball game where players stand in shallow water and keep a small ball airborne using acrobatic slaps and dives. Locals are usually happy to include visitors in their games. In the evening the beach transforms into a nightlife hub with beach clubs and bars. Located just a few minutes walk from the city center, it perfectly combines urban convenience with seaside relaxation
