Bab Rouah
Bab Rouah, the Gate of the Winds, is the most impressive Almohad gate in Rabat. Built in 1197 under Yacoub al-Mansour, it features a complex design with multiple vaulted chambers, geometric ornamentation, and carved Quranic inscriptions. It served as the main western entrance to the city, facing the powerful Atlantic winds, hence its name. Today it houses a gallery of contemporary Moroccan art. Visitors can explore the ornate interior corridors and appreciate the monumental architecture.
