Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate)
Bab Bou Jeloud, known as the Blue Gate, is the iconic main entrance to the old medina. Built in 1913 in Moorish style, it features cobalt blue mosaics on the outside (royal color of Fes) and green on the inside (color of Islam). Surrounding cafes and restaurants offer Moroccan tea with views of busy city life. From here begin the main alleys Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira leading to the medina heart.
