Avebury Stone Circle is the world's largest stone circle, covering 28 acres — much bigger than Stonehenge. Dating to 2850 BC, it contains a charming village within the circle. Unlike Stonehenge, you can walk among the stones and touch them. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stones free. Parking £7 (National Trust, £4 after 3pm). Avebury Manor closed until Spring 2026.
