Avachinsky Volcano
Avachinsky (2751 m) is one of the most active volcanoes in the Koryak-Avacha group and the easiest volcano to climb in Kamchatka. From its summit, you can see the Pacific Ocean, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city, and the volcanoes Vilyuchinsky, Gorelyy, and Mutnovsky. The climb takes about 6 hours and doesnt require special climbing equipment, making it accessible for beginners with good fitness. The volcano last erupted in 1991 but remains active with fumaroles at the summit. Tours start from a base camp at 900m elevation.
