Arromanches is home to the remains of the Allied Mulberry Harbour, an engineering marvel of prefabricated portable harbours. The concrete caissons and floating pier remnants are still visible offshore, testament to the logistics that made D-Day possible. The harbour enabled unloading of 2.5 million soldiers, 500,000 vehicles, and 4 million tons of supplies. The D-Day Museum and Arromanches 360 cinema offer immersive experiences with a circular film about the Battle of Normandy.
