Anse Intendance Beach
Anse Intendance is one of Mahe's wildest and most stunning beaches, featuring 800 metres of fine white sand with a thickly-vegetated mountain backdrop and imposing granite formations. With no offshore coral reef to protect the bay, large waves crash onto the beach, making it perfect for photography and surfing but dangerous for swimming, especially from May to September when strong currents prevail. Sea turtles nest here between October and February.
