One of America's most iconic hikes. The summit at 1763m offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Zion Canyon. The final half-mile scramble features chain handrails along narrow ridges with steep drop-offs. A permit is required since 2022. The 8km round-trip trail gains 453m elevation and takes 4-5 hours.

April-May and September-October for mild temperatures. Start before 7am to avoid crowds and afternoon heat. Winter possible but icy conditions dangerous.
