The Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs is a medieval fortress built in 1328 by King Alfonso XI. It served as the residence of the Catholic Monarchs during the Granada campaign, and here they received Christopher Columbus before his first voyage.
Adults €7, 50% off for students/seniors. Free for Córdoba residents and children. Free on Thursdays after 6pm
Visit in the morning to avoid crowds. The gardens are especially beautiful in spring. Thursday evenings offer free entry after 6pm.
