Al Jalali Fort is a 16th-century historic fortress built by the Portuguese in 1587 to protect Muscat harbor. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the port, it was later captured by the Omanis in 1650. Renovated and converted into a private museum. No public access but offers stunning views from outside.
