Useful tips for visiting Singapore

Hawker centers are the key to cheap eating. Maxwell Food Centre, Lau Pa Sat, Chinatown Complex — full meals S$4-10. Michelin-starred hawker stalls exist!

MRT from Changi Airport to city costs only S$2 (20 min). Compare to S$24+ for taxi. Get EZ-Link card or use contactless payment on all transport.

Strict laws: S$300 fine for eating/drinking on MRT, S$1000 for littering, caning for vandalism. Chewing gum is banned. Follow the rules!
