A charming rocky bay named after the actor who purchased it during filming of 'The Guns of Navarone' in 1961. Crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic rock formations make it ideal for snorkeling. The bay is small but stunning, surrounded by pine trees with views across the Aegean. Sunbeds and a small beach bar available in summer.

Rhodes is part of Greece and the Schengen Area. EU citizens need no visa. Many other nationalities can stay 90 days visa-free.
May-June and September-October are ideal: warm weather, fewer crowds. July-August is hot and crowded. Winter is quiet but some facilities close.
Rhodes is one of the safest destinations in Greece. Crime rate is very low. Watch for pickpockets in tourist areas and taxi scams.
Airport is 16 km from town. Bus ~€2.50, taxi ~€25-30. Buses run every 30 minutes during daytime.
Lindos Beach, Anthony Quinn Bay, Faliraki, Tsambika, Kallithea, Agathi. East coast is calmer for swimming.

Book accommodation early for peak season (July-August) - prices rise 30-50%.
Rent a scooter or car to explore the island - public transport is limited outside Rhodes Town.
Always ask for a receipt - by Greek law, all businesses must issue receipts.
Watch for the broken camera scam at tourist sites - someone asks you to take their photo, then claims you broke their device.
Check menu prices before sitting down at restaurants - some don't display price lists.
Visit the Old Town early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat and crowds.
5-10% tip is appreciated in restaurants but not mandatory. Leave cash to ensure it reaches the waiter.
Bring comfortable walking shoes - Old Town cobblestone streets are uneven.
Use only official bank ATMs (Alpha, Eurobank, Piraeus, Ethniki) - others charge high fees.
