Useful tips for visiting Orlando
Book park tickets ONLY from official websites (Disney, Universal). Scammers sell fake or partially used tickets. Never buy from street vendors or sketchy websites.
Beware fake pizza menus slipped under hotel doors - its a credit card theft scam. Order only from known restaurants or hotel concierge.
Summer is extremely hot (91-95F/33-35C with high humidity). Carry water, use sunscreen, take AC breaks. Lightning storms common in afternoon - parks have shelter protocols.
Use Uber/Lyft instead of street taxis. Some taxis overcharge tourists - broken meters, inflated prices. Apps show price upfront.
Restaurant tips 18-20% are expected (not optional). Hotel housekeeping $3-5/day in cash left on pillow with a note. Uber/Lyft tip 15-20% in app.
SeaWorld and Busch Gardens are cashless - cards and digital payments only. Disney and Universal accept cash but cards preferred.
