Useful tips for visiting Labuan Bajo
Book Komodo tickets early! From April 2026 only 1000 visitors per day allowed. Quotas fill quickly especially in peak season
Bring enough cash. ATMs limited to IDR 2.5 million per withdrawal. Some shops don't accept cards
Visit Kampung Ujung night market for seafood (from 6pm). Choose your fish and they cook it. Fair prices and great local atmosphere
Go to Padar at sunrise for best light and fewer crowds. Most tours arrive 8-9am when it's hot and crowded
Use bank ATMs only. Skimming cases reported at standalone ATMs
Explore Flores overland! Ruteng (rice fields), Bajawa (traditional villages), Kelimutu (colored lakes). Rent scooter or car with driver
