Useful tips for visiting Kruger National Park
Take malaria prophylaxis, especially November to April. Consult a doctor before traveling.
Never leave your vehicle except in designated areas. Wild animals are dangerous.
Start game drives early morning (5:30-6:00). Animals are most active in the cool hours.
Carry cash for petrol stations inside the park. Cards are not accepted for fuel.
Respect speed limits: 50 km/h on tar roads, 40 km/h on gravel roads.
Bring binoculars and camera with zoom lens. Some animals are spotted from distance.
Use insect repellent and wear long clothes at dusk and dawn to avoid mosquito bites.
