Visit Lumbarda for the island's only sandy beaches and taste Grk wine from surrounding vineyards. Just 6 km from Korcula Town.
Watch the traditional Moreska sword dance in the Old Town - performed every Thursday evening in summer. Centuries-old tradition.
Rent a scooter or boat to explore hidden beaches and coves along the island coast. Many beautiful spots only accessible by water.
Bring water shoes - most beaches are pebbly and sea urchins are common. Sandy beaches only in Lumbarda.
Take a winery tour - Korcula produces some of Croatia's best white wines (Posip and Grk). Many wineries offer tastings with stunning views.
Book ferries in summer in advance - especially car ferries from Orebic which fill up fast. Walk-on passengers usually OK without booking.
