Baros Maldives is classic Maldivian romance. A boutique resort with 75 villas, just 25 minutes from the airport by speedboat, award-winning restaurants, and an atmosphere of intimacy. If One&Only is about scale, Baros is about coziness.

History

Baros opened in 1973—one of the first resorts in the Maldives. Underwent several renovations, most recently in 2017. Preserved the spirit of Maldivian tourism pioneers but with modern comfort.

The name "Baros" comes from a Maldivian word describing the island's shape—round like a coconut.

Use authorized money exchange centers in Male/Hulhumale for better rates. Since 2025, new regulations require settlements in rufiyaa, though resort payments in USD still common.
