In PNG, due to mountains, flights are main transport ($100-300). Air Niugini and PNG Air. Capital not connected by road to other cities! PMVs (minibuses) cheap ($1-10) but unsafe for solo women. Highlands Highway is main road. Many villages only accessible by plane or foot.
Tipping is NOT common in Papua New Guinea. Not part of local culture. Small tips appreciated but not expected.
